Looks like everyone had a successful mail order, finally got through to Ticketron, managed to work the lot, or plain lucked out with a ground score. Point is, we all have tickets in-hand for the December 1995 Phish tour. It’s gonna be a corker.
After 25 years, this run is still considered one of the best in the band’s history and it has a little something for everyone: precision on the composed pieces, patience during the jams, adventuresome setlists and segues, and plenty of fun banter and stage antics. The run is 17 shows in all, and (minor spoiler) bookended by a pair of all-time greats. The general idea is that we will listen to the show on the date it was played and then …
… well, we don’t really have an agenda for how this thing will play out or the best platform for interaction. Our touring crew is comprised of a bunch of music fans who have gone to shows together, talked about tunes together, or are just getting to know each other based on mutual acquaintances. I suppose a lot of the discussion will happen via text, but I set up this site to allow for anyone who wants to share content that might need a little more room.
Here are a couple resources that will be helpful going forward — we will pin this post and add to it going forward:
- Relisten: You can use this platform to stream all of the Phish shows that are not available on Spotify (as well as a ton of other stuff from Internet Archive). They have a browser player, as well as apps for iOS and Sonos.
- Phish.net: Whether you like to read up on shows before you listen or go in cold, you will find setlists, stats, and reviews for all things Phish.
With that, let’s get going up the road to Hershey, PA! Feel free to introduce yourself in the comments below. We are keeping the comment section invite-only, so reach out to me and I can set you up with a log-in.
Dig it.
